Willow Bend Publishing was established in 2001 to promote this fun, best-selling horse series. With over 50,000 copies sold to date, these books continue to grow in popularity. We are particularly proud of the fact that every book has won at least one national award, including twice winning the prestigious 'Children's Choices' award co-sponsored by The International Reading Association and The Children's Book Council. In 2007, we were delighted when Breyer Animal Creations decided to create a model in the likeness of Blackjack, the star of the series. This model is sold with a copy of the award-winning book Blackjack: Dreaming of a Morgan Horse.

Coming soon - three new books from Willow Bend Publishing! Rimfire: The Barrel Racing Morgan Horse continues the adventures of Heather Richardson and her barn of Morgan Horses. Justin Morgan and the Big Horse Race is a hardcover book for young readers. Rimfire is scheduled for a Fall 2009 release while Justin Morgan is scheduled for a 2010 release. We are also excited to announce the upcoming publication of Pidgy's Surprise. This charming book, originally published in 1955, is written and illustrated by famed equine artist Jeanne Mellin.
