Show Season is Here

Show season is here! For those of us who love showing horses, our favorite time of the year is here. And at Willow Bend Publishing, we believe that if you’re going to write stories about horses, and especially about horse shows, you need to have lots of experience with showing horses. The above photo was taken at the Connecticut Morgan Horse Show, held in West Springfield, MA, in early June, ‘25. Author Ellen Feld is on her horse, Ledyard’s Rare Soul, affectionately known as Leon. Walking beside Ellen are her trainers, Scott and Danielle Neidlinger. The smiles are the reflection of months of hard work by all involved. And Leon got lots of treats when he got back to the barn. Ellen has been showing for most of her life, and has a passion for introducing kids to showing via her books.
